Dear All, I'm facing a problem with my Windows 7 PC. My configuration is: - SSD OCZ Agility 128 GB (System) - HDD 1TB Caviar black - HDD 3TB Caviar Green I bought a new SSD where I want to migrate the system is a 480 GB Sandisk drive.
I've used EZ Gig IV SanDisk to clone the OCZ onto the Sandisk Drive. After I switched off the PC and selected my Sandisk as boot drive (OCZ not installed). I won't start and the PC comes up with the first image. I went into the bios and disable all the HDD (the sandisk was set as boot drive) and it comes UP with the second Image.
I tried to boot only from my OCZ (without enabling the HDDS) and no luck again with the second Image. So I tried boot with my OCZ and the black and the system boots up. I tried another way again from the BIOS I set the Sandisk as first boot option and the black as second the other drives are not set as boot and the system boots up (the C drive still the OCZ) Can someone help me finding the solution to my problem? I'm getting crazy. Thank you https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BzgnvXJU8XHTMU5RUVFySDFtZjA&usp=sharing. Do not Clone, instead use create an Image Backup and restore the backup to your new SSD.
Note that when restoring the image look for an option that instructs the Image Recovery / Restore software that you are restoring to an SSD (This creates the proper drive offset required by an SSD.) Also check to see which drive is marked as the System / Active partition. It should by your 128GB OCZ (150MB System, Reserved partition located at the front of the SSD. If one of your Western Digital hard drives is marked as the system / active partition let me know and I'll show you what to do.

(Image called Error in the same drive folder) I'm OK you you may want to contact me and try to take a look in remote control to my PC. Thank you again, my emailif you want to contact me is ale.minna@gmail.com.
No you don't want to perform a 'System Image' backup, you want to perform a Disk and Partition backup. The only disk / Partition you should select is the OCZ drive and do not include the System partition on the Caviar drive (keep them disconnected). You will then restore the OCZ partition you backed up to the new SSD (with the caviar drives disconnected. Finally you will use method #2 to create a new BCD store / System partition which will now be part of the Windows partition. Use Method #2 in the Wiki article: Method 2 - BCD (Boot Configuration Data) store is corrupt or missing (In your case it is missing) Do this with all the Caviar drives disconnected. This is because windows new boot mode UEFI holds all this in a dos file the keeps any and all drives installed whether you understand this and when you install the MBR to the first drive u install in the computer this file records this as the drive to boot from only there is a command in dos that you can use to fix this that's why if you try booting from any other drive that windows was preinstalled on it will not boot from it on your computer till you delete the last drive from that file search for dos commands for windows 8 for fixing the MBR file.
