Since you lost your key, that means you will not only be able to register it online, but that doesn't mean that you cant play the game in your computer, at first install the game in your computer using a different key, then get another expansion pack and install that, this way you don't have to register your game online, and you can still play the game, but if you don't have an expansion pack installed then you would not be able to play the game without the key.
