Right up front I am not very knowledgeable about guns, especially French handguns. I was left this gun by my late father. Here is what I think I know about it. It is a Liege manufactured E.
LeFaucheux Brevete 6 shot, 12 millimeter (.47 cal.) pinfire cartridge single action revolver. On the right side, beneath the cylinder there is stamped LF 17956, on the back side of the cylinder there is stamped 19, and then a K. On the left side beneath the cylinder there appears to be the name of the manufacturer in a oval stamped pattern. On the top of the barrel there is stamped E.
LEFAUCHEUX BR (then something I cannot read) Paris. The grips seem like dark walnut, smooth with no sign of ever been checked. Overall the condition seems fair, the main problem is the screw in front of the trigger guard is not original and is loose, causing the barrel and cylinder to 'wobble'. Any information you may have about this gun would be appreciated, and yes, I am very curious to know what it's worth.
