Product Information • For the first time since 1995, EA SPORTS introduces a new baseball franchise to home consoles and personal computers, one designed to be more realistic than past offerings in the Triple Play Baseball series. The batter-pitcher interface has been revamped to accommodate more strategic play. On the mound, players need to worry about velocity and the release point of each pitch; at the plate, players must decide on the type of swing based on the count and runner situation.
Once contact is made, a picture-in-picture window will show the runner on base so players can see what's happening around them at all times. At the heart of the game is a franchise mode where players can draft rookies, manage injuries, negotiate contracts, and hire or fire coaching staff. San Francisco Giants announcer Duane Kuiper handles the play-by-play with color analysis by Mike Krukow. Design input and advice on gameplay was sought from such big leaguers as Tim Hudson, Trot Nixon, and Torii Hunter.
A far cry from Triple Play 2002 Graphics and game play have improved 100%. Players look more real.

Cut scenes look more real. There's more control over running the bases. Picture in picture baserunning is pretty cool. Hitter's hot and cold zones are a good addition. Commentary is OK but if you're looking for a baseball game that's not outrageously hard, but great fun, this is a good game.
This game will get your feet wet for the next couple of years worth of baseball games. EA did a great job on this version. If only all games could come so far in just 1 year! The game is on mvp baseball 2003 is the best. You can play as any team in single game home run derby season or franchise.
You can play as players like omar vizquel barry bonds fred migriff alfonso soriano eric chavez karim garica roy halliday roy oswalt craig biggio and much more players. This game has alot of guys on it that are now retired. Jay peyton and karim garica jacques jones alfonso soriano albert pujloius and erick chavez. This game is great especially you get to know the players even the ones you never had heard of. I suggest this game to anyone end of story.
Hope this helps. 7577655mike •.
