The game play is amazing. You start out as Link as a child, and unlike RPG games, it is all action so it takes more than strategizing to make your way through this game. All the sword fights have to be done by the player, unlike the final fantasy series where you simply choose an attack from the menu.

All of the dungeons and towns in Zelda are unique, meaning that it's not the same town over and over again, only with a new name and a different color scheme;) Each place is quite memorable with it's own set of characters and landmark distinctions. It was nice because they incorporated bits of the older Zelda games into this one, yet it was a totally new, refreshing story.

This game gets hard fast. It would seem almost impossible to get through some places without a strategy guide. So you might want to turn around and buy one the moment you get the game to save yourself hours of frustration stuck in a dungeon, at least to reference with on occasion.
