After it was all done and i test it, all it does is make a clicking noise. Hampton Bay support says it might be a faulty speed controller and recommends returning it. I do and get a new fan 3 weeks later and it does the same thing.

I thought it might be my electrical and have a electrician check my wiring and 200 dollars later, he says it is the fan again. We were really happy that Home Depot still had this fan. Ours was originally installed in 2005 when our house was built. Recently it began squeaking intermittently. Irritating and noisy. There was no way to oil it as it is a sealed housing. So we bought another one.

We hung the bedroom fan and it worked great for a week then all of a sudden it made a horrible racket, motor was failing. Since it could only be purchased on line, we contacted Customer Service and they were extremely helpful, couldnt have asked for more. They told us we could return the defective fan to any Lowe's which we did.

Again, our local Customer Service was a dream to deal with, and so apologetic. We reordered the Miramar and it was delivered within 3-days! We hung it last weekend, and it not only looks great but is performing beautifully.

What more could you ask for? We have another beautiful working fan along with a great feeling about Lowe's Customer Service.

Also, double check the down-rod height needed. We originally purchased the same length down-rod we had with our previous fan, but it was too long when used with this fan. This fan is big and has a larger drop down than our old fan. The install is easy, 2 people makes it easier. It barely has enough wiring to work with a 48 inch down-rod, so if you're going longer than that you'll need to add more wiring. The lights look great in our living room.

The fan moves a lot of air, no wobble at all. If you plan on mounting this on an angled ceiling you will need to buy a separate mount. The mount that this fan comes with will only work on a slightly angled ceiling. Luckily I was able to use the mount from my old ceiling fan, so that might work for you too.
